CERTIMAC team involved in NEXTOWER project participated to the IEEE NANO 2018 conference in Cork contributing with the activities on surface treatments of porous SiC. The work, developed in collaboration with CNR (Italy), was presented during the poster session and triggered a significant interest in the possibility of inducing controllable micro and nano scale texturing and roughening of the surfaces of SiC grains in porous samples by either femtosecond laser or plasma etching treatments.
